Long’s journey in the fashion industry began in 2000 when he graduated with Honors from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Armed with a Bachelors degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising, he launched his menswear label in 2001, aptly named Longevity, with his first runway show at Melbourne Fashion Week 2005.
In 2008 he became the Designer for Politix menswear, assuming a dual Designer and Sourcing role, helping to shape the identity of Politix menswear into the market leader it is today. With over two decades of experience, Long has been a driving influence in both menswear design and global apparel sourcing, working for iconic Australian brands such as the Country Road Group, RB Sellars and Driza-Bone, and along the way, fostering deep connections with many key factories in Asia that supply to these major brands in Australia.
Fast forward to 2023, after traversing the globe for over 20 years, focusing on sustainable sourcing projects, Long founded Asia Apparel Sourcing with a clear mission to revolutionise apparel sourcing in Australia. His goal — to empower brands with access to the ideal manufacturing partner/s in Asia while championing sustainable practices.
